Dreaming Madagascar is a long term ongoing project trying to capture the essence of the Madagascan people in their landscape and seascape’s while trying to convey the emotion of a place and people to record it candidly with the use of ambient light.
The Malagasy have their own unique style a mix of Austronesian, African and Arab ancestors, they inject vibrancy into life which adds to the mood in an image this is what I’m trying to capture.
In this series of shadows the subject itself is sometimes relegated to the background the intimate shadows give depth and mystery.
When I leave Madagascar I have vivid dreams of this beautiful diverse Island and people it always lures me back.
